Effective March 27th 2016 New York State will require all prescriptions to be filed electronically. There is currently no indication the deadline will be extended as done previously.
If you are not currently e-prescribing, you will need to do the following as soon as possible:
Step# 1 – Register each practitioner on “ROPES” (Registration for Official Prescriptions and E-Prescribing Systems).
Step# 2 –Complete this form:
Once completed, you will receive an emailed confirmation receipt and we will begin the process of enrollment. Within three business days, you should receive an email confirming successful enrollment and you will then coordinate training with our ERX Support Service representative.
For a practitioners who require prescribing of controlled substances:
You will need to complete the “EPCS” (Electronic Prescribing of Controlled Substances) registration process.
